Anchor's Rest is situated in the quaint seaside village
of Hermanus, 120km from Cape Town. We are 150m from the
famous cliff paths boasting the best landbased whale watching
in the world. Anchor’s Rest is a 1.5km stroll to the village
centre. It lies between the historic Old Harbour ( in the
village) and the New Harbour with its restaurants within walking
distance. The champagne air, Blue Flag beaches,
spectacular mountain nature reserve, beautiful golf course and
other outdoor activities make Hermanus a popular holiday
destination.
Accommodation, either self catering or B&B, is offered in 4 separate suites each with their own private entrance and patio/garden areas and barbecue. A Health Breakfast, which is optional, is served on your own patio or in your suite. An under counter fridge, tea and coffee facilities, overhead fans, microwave, WiFi internet access, TV, MNet and DSTV premium bouquet, and DVD player are provided in each unit. A saltwater swimming pool and shady garden area is available for guests. Secure off street parking.
"SEAGULLS" (sleeps2) - is our spacious loft suite with views of the mountain and a glimpse of the sea. Small secluded patio/entrance area with Weber braai. A compact kitchenette for light self catering is on the lower level. A staircase leads to the upstairs room with Queen size bed, en suite bathroom with bath and shower and a sea view (shower as you watch the whales!). "DRIFTWOOD" (sleeps 2-4) - This 1 bed roomed unit has a Queen size bed and a shower bathroom. A separate living/dining room room has French doors leading into garden area and patio. The kitchenette has the addition of a mini-oven. A sleeper couch in the living room can accommodate 2 persons. From R275pp to R310pp (for first 2 persons) + R 90pp extra. "PEBBLES" (SLEEPS2) - With its own entrance, our smallest room has a Queen size bed and en suite shower. French doors lead onto a secluded patio area with barbecue facilities. Mini kitchenette. "DRIFTWOOD & PEBBLES" (Sleeping 4-6) are adjoined
and can easily be converted into a family unit with a living
room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
(When booked separately the units are totally private from each other and the common passage is not accessible.)
“STARFISH” (sleeps2-4) This family unit has a private entrance and enclosed patio with BBQ and patio furniture. A spacious open plan bedroom/living area has a Queen size bed and there is a separate small bedroom with 2 single beds off the main room. Full bathroom with bath & shower. A small kitchenette for light self catering. From R260pp to R300pp (for first 2 persons) + R100pp extra. Peak Season R730 for the suite for 3 (R110 for 4th person).
